Exploring Bedroom and Workplace Design Preferences: A Research Study.

Exploring Bedroom and Workplace Design Preferences: A Research Study (Online)
Make your space count – please take the survey!
Did you know that most people are unaware of how their bedrooms and workplaces affect their sleep, well-being and productivity? As a PhD researcher and feng shui consultant with decades of experience, I am dedicated to understanding how our environments truly shape our lives.
I’d like to invite you to participate in my online, anonymous research study, Exploring Bedroom and Workplace Design Preferences, which I conduct as part of my PhD research at Liverpool John Moores University, UK (and will run for a few weeks).

Understanding the influence of bedrooms and workplaces
As a feng shui enthusiast or consultant dealing with all kinds of issues in bedrooms and workplaces, you already know that we spend 2/3 of our lives in bedrooms and work/study/places, which makes these environments very important. By becoming more aware of how these spaces influence our lives, we can make meaningful changes that enhance sleep quality in bedrooms, boost productivity in work or study settings, and ultimately contribute to our overall mental, physical, and emotional well-being, as well as success in both personal and professional endeavours.
Advancing feng shui research
Your unique perspective as a feng shui consultant is invaluable. Your participation is crucial for advancing the field of feng shui, providing valuable validation for its principles and helping to bridge the gap between traditional wisdom and modern scientific understanding. There is a growing interest in academia from other scientific disciplines, such as environmental psychology, geography, and ethnography, in exploring feng shui. This interdisciplinary focus will help expand and adapt feng shui to be more current and valuable for modern lifestyles. Your responses could be pivotal in changing how feng shui is understood in the scientific community. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of feng shui research, especially since very few scientific studies are currently being conducted on feng shui.
What’s involved and potential benefits
You’ll be presented with photographs of five sets of bedroom and workplace designs to evaluate, rate and rank your preference. As a feng shui enthusiast or consultant, it will confirm what you already know with a nuanced evaluation of some additional features. There are also personal, nature-related and transpersonal/spiritual questionnaires, and they’ll leave you reflecting on your relationship with your space in ways you may never have thought of. The survey will help you gain new insights into your own spaces and improve your feng shui practice.
Importance of your contribution
Your insights will help us shape better living and working environments that truly nurture our well-being. I would deeply appreciate your voice. Together, we can create spaces that inspire peace, productivity, and joy. Together, we can make our spaces better for everyone. Your participation is also crucial for advancing the field of feng shui, providing valuable validation for its principles and helping to bridge the gap between traditional wisdom and modern scientific understanding. Once I’ve completed my research (in two years), I’ll share all the findings with the most comprehensive reference list of thousands of research papers on feng shui and related studies that will help empower your feng shui practice and your clients.
Time required: 15-25 minutes.
Use a computer for a more engaging experience, but it works on mobile devices, too.
Participate now – this survey will only be open for the next few weeks!
