Biography
An honorary Life Fellow and immediate past chairman of the Feng Shui Society, I travel regularly throughout the UK and overseas as a full time Feng Shui, Vastu and 9Ki consultant in businesses, homes great and small, gardens and landscaping since 1996. I draw on my background in estate agency and property development in offices, retail, hotels & leisure, all underpinned by a lifetime study of eastern philosophy. My work in Vastu is recognised by the Indian High Commission and I am an affiliate member of the RIBA and the Landscape Institute.
My residential clients are very important to me and range from Scottish castles to urban studios and terraces, families large and small.
I have private and corporate clients across Europe having completed major assignments in Germany, France & Ireland. Selected corporate clients include Coca-Cola, Mars, Tilda, Ciba, Dior, Aon, Caparo & Mahindra as well as many other household names.
Professional clients include SJBerwin and PricewaterhouseCoopers, while architectural clients include Foster & Partners, HOK International, Pringle Brandon, Buschow Henley and others.
Academically I have lectured on feng shui, eastern philosophy, the built environment and related subjects at the universities of Cambridge, Glamorgan and Westminster, as well as the Continuing Professional Development Foundation of the RICS and RIBA. I also contribute specialist teaching modules to harmonious living diploma courses.
As well as homes and businesses, my work includes recognisably stressed premises such as GP surgeries, pharmacies and dental practices. In this last respect I am a Denplan National Conference key speaker.
Educational institutions are a speciality and I currently advise in the development of halls of residence and teaching blocks for regional universities throughout the UK.
I have addressed the NAEA on buying, improving and selling homes and I work with estate agents and landlords in the marketing of office blocks. I also advise housebuilders on show homes and developers on potential commercial sites before acquisition.
Waterside properties are another area of specialism. Water forms half of the literal translation of "feng shui" so these properties require a careful and experienced approach if the auspicious water energy is to be harnessed beneficially.
I am a media contributor featured by terrestrial and digital television; also conducting radio phone-ins, workshops and in-house seminars. I am a feng shui and vastu expert to the BBC Good Homes Show, as well as an experienced regular cruise ship guest lecturer.
Media and PR enquirers may be interested that I have been asked to explore and report on the more unusual applications of feng shui principles to such things as hairstyles and colour in relation to mood swings and ambition, packing and travel arrangements, travel by rail, lorry cabs and who knows what else! I am also one of only two feng shui consultants to have appeared on Ready Steady Cook so don't be afraid to approach me with the extraordinary!
