Biography

Sylvia learnt the fundamentals of authentic traditional feng shui in Hong Kong, then studied extensively with respected Chinese masters. She is professionally accredited (FSSA) and is acknowledged as one of this country's foremost practitioners. She consults, writes, lectures and teaches in London, Devon, Southern England, throughout other parts of Great Britain and Europe. She founded her consulting practice Feng Shui Living In 1994.

Sylvia has a special flair for transposing traditional feng shui successfully into our modern lifestyle. Her sensible, practical contemporary approach, focuses on caring about people as well as buildings and their surrounding environment. Properties invariably become more supportive, healthier, harmonious and attractive places in which occupants feel good and lasting positive changes occur.

In-depth consultation fees for homes and gardens start at around £350, business fees around £500. All include preparation beforehand, the site visit, feng shui assessment of the exterior environment and internal features, natural elements, time factor, wealth location plus your individual requirements. Garden consultations range from simple advice to re-planning.

Comprehensive written reports and generous free follow-up support are always provided afterwards. Sylvia can also assist you with innovative clutter solutions, favourable dates and improving relationships.

In addition, or as a separate consultation, she is professionally registered to carry out space clearing and residual chi transformation; earth healing with acupuncture; geopathic stress resolution; EMF assessments and environmental surveys.

As Sylvia is qualified in interior design and a RIBA architects affiliate, she gives sensitive advice on colours and décor and is able to help you incorporate feng shui features into renovations or new constructions. She has also successfully assisted people to realize their property sales faster, often achieving better prices.

Sylvia's corporate consulting benefits from her former business background. She will advise effective ways to enhance work performance, staff wellbeing and branding projection and uses 9ki astrology to gain insight into personnel potential, characteristics and dynamics. Background: Business trained in merchandising, marketing and fashion buying. Briefly in hotel management in France and UK. She became director of a textile company trading with Hong Kong during the 'eighties, then changed career path into holistic healthcare and healing, which led her into studying and practicing feng shui.

Qualifications: Extensive prefessional feng shui studies with the world's leading masters, including Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai. Masters Peter Leung, Joseph Yu and Chan Kun Wah. Professional Diploma in Interior Design. Also qualified in natural healthcare including colour therapeutics, counselling, aromatherapy, nutrition, allergy therapy, healing, dowsing andearth acupuncture .
If requested during consultations, these additional skills are drawn on to help support people's wellbeing.

Professional Registration: As well as being an Accredited Feng Shui Society Consultant (FSSA) , Sylvia is professionally registered with the British Society of Dowsers the British Institute for Allergy and Environmental Therapy (consultant), CThA and the British Complementary Medicine Association. She is a registered member of the UK's Doctor- Healer Network and an affiliate member of both the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Landscape Institute.

Teaching and presenting: Sylvia is advisory consultant to the Holistic Design Institute. She has lectured extensively in the UK and overseas, here notably at Westminster University, Capel Manor Horticultural College and the Royal Society of Medicine.
